Shri Sachchidananda Swamiji
Shri Sachchidananda Swamiji was born on 30th July 1938 in a village called Chakrakodi in the town of Koliyur of Kasaragod District of Kerala. He first met Shrimat PP Sadguru Bhagwan Shridhar Swami Maharaj in 1948 at Mangalore and soon received ‘Anugraha’. He accepted ‘Sannyasa Diksha’ in 1961 on Vijaya Dashami. Shri Swamiji used to call him as ‘Sanna Swamiji’ in Kannada or ‘Chhote Swamiji’ in Marathi. He was the head of Shri Shridharashrama, Varadapur for a period of 14 years after the ‘dehtyaag’ or demise of Shri Swamiji. He has written the biography of Shri Swamiji in Kannada which is named ‘Shri Sadguru Prasadika Bhagavan Shridhar Guru Charitre’. It has 950 pages and 32 chapters. Each chapter begins with a ‘shloka’ which is composed starting with a syllable of ‘Namaha Shantaya’ mantra. Since there are 32 syllable in the ‘Namaha Shantaya’ mantra, the biography has 32 chapters. The first 16 chapters are written on the life events of Shri Swamiji before He took ‘Sannyasa Diksha’ and the other 16 chapters are about the events after Swamiji took ‘Sannyasa’. This biography is also available in Marathi. The constuction of the ‘samadhi’ temple and Shri Shridhar Tirtha at Varadapur was done under the able supervision of Shri Sachchidananda Swamiji.
